Vision research for occlusion and colobomas

I have had this blog post in draft for a very long time. These were references to papers that supported patching (occlusion) to improve vision in eyes that have serious physical defects. They didn't appear to be very well written but they gave me hope for patching in Raphael and my hope has been vindicated.
